The city of Wuppertal is located on the slopes of the Wupper river in the industrial heart of Germany. Local companies such as Vorwerk & Co, established in 1883, have grown with the city over the years, expanding their inner city campuses over the decades. The existing buildings date from the 1960s, and have reached their end of life. The proposal aims to create a park and green space at the heart of the site, with a large collaboration building in the South.

The park is framed by four buildings that contain the office spaces, research labs and libraries. The park and the collaborative landscape below is the space in which the different departments of Vorwerk meet and interact, mingle and relax, brainstorm and waste time together.

Each of the buildings creates different types of office spaces: open plan, cellular floors, and research labs. The scheme is unified by a common façade language of scalloped glass and timber shading elements, that frames the park.
