MAMSHA GARDENS, SAAYIDAT ISLAND
Commissioned by Aldar, ACME has worked in the Saadiyat Cultural District since 2022. We are delighted to celebrate the launch of Mamsha Gardens, a residential-led scheme in Abu Dhabi’s most sought-after neighbourhood, right next to the Abu Dhabi Louvre, the Guggenheim, the Abrahamic House, the Natural History Museum and the Zayed National Museum.
Mamsha Gardens comprises seven buildings and 493 luxury homes surrounded by lush gardens. The design builds upon the beachfront context, maximizing inbuild shading and fluid transitions between interior and landscape. Three building typologies are alternated to maximize sea and garden views without overlooking. The podium perimeter is planted extensively to create a soft transition from Mamsha Drive to the interior courtyards. Landscaped gardens feature water-efficient irrigation systems and native plants, ensuring that the landscape thrives with minimal resource consumption.
Working with the placemaking team, we have developed a retail and restaurant strategy for Mamsha Drive that makes this a shaded local high street linking communities to the Guggenheim park with a diverse mix of restaurants with outdoor terraces, cafés, and shops.
