ACME Paper publishes compendiums on the work of the office.
SPACE is published once a year by ACME Paper and is a collaboration by members of ACME. Each Volume of SPACE summarises the work of one year as a collection of projects, illustrated in drawings, renderings and photos.
Each volume is printed in an edition of 1000 numbered copies.
N°16 volume marks the completion of two regeneration schemes in the UK that we have worked on for more than a decade.
In London, the Minories site has occupied us for close to 20 years. Its layered context inspired a new hotel, workplace, and residential development. It is rare to be given the opportunity to deliver a complete vision from masterplan through to interiors.
In Wales, the first completed buildings of Copr Bay have started to reactivate Swansea’s city centre, a much-needed first milestone after 25 years of planning. The 3,500-capacity arena, a pedestrian and cycle bridge, and the city’s largest new park since Victorian times occupy what had remained a surface carpark since the 1970s.
Several new urban schemes have progressed this year on their own journey from vision to completion. Large coastal residential projects in Folkestone, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi are each seeking to deliver significant changes to their context.
