Charles Pigott
Charles Pigott trained as an architect at the Portsmouth School of Architecture and the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London, where he received his AA Diploma in June 1992. His career spans both Chicago and London, having worked for Skidmore, Owings and Merrill on international office and residential projects. During the 1990s, Berlin became his second home, serving as a hub for architectural experimentation and freelance work, including a stint in Vienna contributing graphic and format work for the cultural magazine Before Information.
Charles joined ACME London in 2013 and has since become a core member of our team. His role as a document controller involves extensive engagement with ACME's diverse projects. Notable projects include Victoria Gate and John Lewis in Leeds, Watermark Quay in Southampton, IQL Pavilion in Stratford, Swansea Arena, Hilton Canopy Hotel in Aldgate, and The Haydon residential complex in Aldgate. Charles’s architectural expertise bridges the gap between design and bureaucracy, ensuring seamless project execution from conception to completion.
As the Document Controller, he oversees other crucial operations including the Coffee Group, ensuring our office's golden spirit coffee machine is maintained by a team of skilled baristas, and the Space Group, managing the maintenance and design of the ACME office and its building. Since 2016, Charles has also been refining the ACME Research & Development Group, which has led the acme studio to become the site of our building prototypes.
