LIFT OFF AT LEAS LIFT, FOLKESTONE

Site preparations commence at Folkestone Leas Lift. The original lift carriages are removed from the track and taken off-site for refurbishment. 

The campaign to save the Grade II* Listed at risk Leas Lift – a nationally significant heritage asset – began in 2018 when volunteers came together to save the lift and ensure its future.

ACME's scheme restores and improves accessibility to this heritage asset and creates an extension to the lower station, providing a new café and WC facilities.
